SteelGate is looking for a talented Cloud Engineer to join our team. The right person will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the migration of applications, data, and workloads from on-premises environments to cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). This role requires technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, cloud migration tools, and IT environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud architecture, data migration techniques, and best practices for cloud deployment.

Typical duties include:

• Implements and designs server, network, and software configurations for cloud computing infrastructure and applications with a focus on DevOps principles.
• Monitors the performance of systems.
• Systems Integration: Support and/or lead workstreams on engagements related to technology strategy, architecture, and service management, including cybersecurity systems integration.
• Cybersecurity Best Practices: Have a fundamental understanding of cybersecurity best practices and take ownership of tasks and project workstreams related to cybersecurity.
• Client Issue Analysis: Perform analysis and diagnose client issues related to IT and cybersecurity.
• Migration Planning: Develop and execute detailed migration strategies and roadmaps for transitioning applications, data, and systems to the cloud.
• Cloud Architecture Design: Work with cloud architects to design cloud solutions, ensuring they align with business requirements and best practices.
• Assess and Analyze: Conduct thorough assessments of current on-premises environments to understand their dependencies and requirements for migration.
• Migration Execution: Perform migrations of applications, databases, and workloads using cloud migration tools and automation processes.
• Tool Integration: Utilize cloud-based and third-party migration tools to streamline and automate the migration process, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions.
• Minimum of a DoD Secret clearance is required

• Experience:

• Cloud Migration: 5+ years (Required)

Certification Requirements:

• AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or equivalent

Required Skills:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in cybersecurity systems, data analytics, and system administration.
• Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in cybersecurity and IT (e.g., CompTIA Security+).

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology
