The relevance and power of information can never be overstated in our digitally interconnected world.
As we navigate the sea of data, the ability to manage and utilize open-source information (Publicly Available Information and Commercially Available Information) becomes critically important. Moreover, the advent of advanced analytical tools allows for data-centric population sentiment analysis, enabling a more precise assessment of target audiences. Amid these developments, it’s necessary to consider the integration of Information Advantage and Information Operations technologies. By ensuring the Information Advantage activities (Enable; Protect; Inform; Influence; Attack) are properly synchronized with Operations in the Information Environment (OIE), we can effectively characterize and visualize the Information Environment, thereby developing an integrated Common Operating Picture. It’s this strategic approach that facilitates Information Advantage/Information Operations combatant command level planning and integration.
