SteelGate is looking for a Senior Beyond Trust Engineer to provide advanced technical expertise and leadership for the operation, sustainment, and optimization of the Beyond Trust privileged access management (PAM) environment – both on-prem and in the cloud. This role focuses on direct cyber and system administration activities related to Beyond Trust, supporting the team and ensuring robust, secure, and compliant PAM operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead advanced administration, monitoring, and maintenance of the Beyond Trust PAM platform, including complex configuration, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.

· Oversee technical cyber activities such as account provisioning, access reviews, credential management, log analysis, and incident response within Beyond Trust.

· Guide and mentor junior administrators, providing technical direction and best practices for PAM operations.

· Drive the discovery and current-state assessment of the Beyond Trust environment and lead the implementation of get-well plan actions.

· Manage integration and deployment of Beyond Trust with enterprise systems, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

· Ensure strict compliance with DoD security policies, STIGs, SRGs, and other applicable standards.

· Develop and maintain detailed system documentation, change records, and standard operating procedures.

· Serve as a technical point of contact for audits, security assessments, and privileged access-related incidents.

· Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex technical issues and promote continuous improvement.

· Contribute to technical documentation, reporting, and knowledge base development.

· Current role is expected to be on-site at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA as needed to support classified environment deployments – no fewer than 1x/week on site, and up to 5x/week on site. On-site requirements may shift throughout the duration of the project.

Required Skills and Experience:

· Extensive experience administering and supporting Beyond Trust or similar PAM solutions.

· Advanced technical skills in system administration, troubleshooting, and cyber operations.

· Proven ability to lead and mentor technical staff.

· In-depth knowledge of DoD security policies, STIGs, and RMF processes.

· Experience supporting deployments in enterprise and cloud environments (OCI experience preferred).

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· DoD 8140 approved certificate for privileged access required (e.g., SecurityX)

Desired/Preferred Skills and Experience

· Bachelor's degree or higher preferred but not required.
