Jimmy Witham serves as SteelGate LLC’s Chief Growth Officer responsible for driving the company’s revenue growth, market expansion and long-term business development and corporate strategies.

With two decades in the industry, Jimmy’s experience includes new business and organic growth, market and capability expansion, revenue diversification, marketing, sales and business transformation through long term strategy and planning.  Jimmy’s corporate experience ranges from new business start-ups to multibillion-dollar publicly traded organizations all driving year over year top line growth.

Prior to joining SteelGate, Jimmy served as the Sr. Director of growth for Peraton’s Army & COCOM business unit where he spent more than 9 years from 2013 – 2022 more than tripling the Army, OCONUS and COCOM accounts and expanding Peraton’s market share throughout Europe, Southwest Asia and the USINDOPACOM AORs.

Jimmy’s career started in 2005 where he joined a small commercial staffing firm that was just entering the defense industry.  From 2005 – 2008 Jimmy advanced through the roles of recruiter, team manager, account manager and capture and business development expanding the Army account from 25 to more than 200 employees ultimately contributing to the acquisition of the company.

From 2008 – 2013, Jimmy held two other roles at L-3 Communications and STG where he was responsible for driving all growth, capture management and business development efforts across Army, Navy and DoD accounts.

Over the last 20 years, Jimmy has driven the growth and award of more than $6B in booked revenue.

Outside the office, Jimmy enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, working out, traveling, collecting bourbon and watching New England sports.  He has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Plymouth State University and is a Shipley Certified Professional Capture Manager.
