A 29-year Army Veteran, John began his career in industry in in 2012 serving in multiple leadership positions from  program manager  to Vice President / General Manager supporting the Army and DoD (DoW) network modernization and Global security architecture implementation.

John and partners founded SteelGate LLC in July 2019 as a Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) focusing on Defensive Cyber Operations, SOC operations, intrusion detection coupled with data analytics leveraging Artificial Intelligence Strategic Distributed Command and Control / AV/VTC architecture, design and systems implementation Communications focusing on Defensive Cyber (DCO). Establishing partnerships and Teaming Agreements on initiatives that meet the priorities of senior DoD leaders in support of our services members. Network Modernization in concert with the Army and DoD Visions.

SteelGate employs a Global view with offices and support locations through-out the Continental United States, Indo-PACOM, Europe and the Middle East. SteelGate and its partners are the most trusted technical professionals and integrators in Industry.

SteelGate’s began its Internship and Cyber Scholarship program in 2021 partnering with Colleges, Universities and local communities to give back to those who support or Veterans and their families and develop a pipeline of cyber professionals critically needed for our national security.
