Job Description
The Program Specialist is responsible for full lifecycle post-offer onboarding at the National Guard Bureau, Arlington, VA and management of training certifications in accordance with DoD Approved 8570 Baselines for all employees on the ARNG National Capital Region Director of Information Management contract. The Program Specialist will assist with continuous improvement initiatives from an onboarding and training management perspective working with the Service Efficiency Manager and the Program Management Office Lead.
Responsibilities
Establishes a standard process for onboarding IMC personnel and all subcontractors
Ensures our onboarding connects people to our mission, grounds them in the fundamentals of our business model, prepares them to ramp up quickly, and drives cross-functional empathy and relationships
Tracks staff training, DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications, and ITIL certifications
Supports communication of training requirements throughout the organization
Develops and coordinates Team IMC’s new employee Mentor Program
Monitors and manages room schedules for meetings and monthly ‘All Hands’ gatherings
Coordinates offsite Team IMC ‘get together’ quarterly
Provide weekly and monthly activity reports
Required Skills
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.
All applicants must have current DoD Secret clearance eligibility day one and prior to entry on duty with the ability to pass an SSBI background investigation to up-scope their clearance to Top Secret / SCI.
Desired Qualifications
ITIL Foundation Level certification
2+ Years of relevant experience performing in a Program Management Office or similar contract organization.
A relevant educational degree in one of the follow fields: Education, IT/Computer Science, Business Administration
