AV/VTC SME
US Army Garrison-Humphreys (Pyongtaek, South Korea) with TDY (within South Korea and potentially to Japan/Guam)
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the AV/VTC SME is to support the AV/VTC modernization to ensure that all USARPAC Command Centers, DCPs, and mission-essential systems are upgraded, and configurations are compatible with other Army installations with the latest technology available. Responsibilities include AV/VTC Operations and Maintenance, and the lifecycle sustainment and upgrade of Command Centers and Distributed Command Posts for all USARPAC Major Subordinate Commands and Theater Enabling Commands in Hawaii, South Korea, Japan, and Alaska. The applicant will be part of an implementation team responsible for the install of AVVTC systems to include securing and hardening, testing, and documentation and deliverables.
Responsibilities of this position include:
4 hour phone support, and if required, site visit within 12 hours.
Coordinate with required POCs for site preparation actions for system implementation
Work closely with the AV/VTC Programmer to create and standardize a baseline HW/SW configuration and control code
Conduct routine maintenance and training on AV/VTC systems and ensure continued compliance with DoD and Army regulations
Manage AV/VTC systems throughout its lifecycle
Anticipate and forecast equipment End of Life (EOL) and End of Support (EOS)
Test existing infrastructure and equipment to determine feasibility for re-use
Provide technical support for troubleshooting and break/fix actions and manage each incident using the ESIM Program Dashboard and Remedy
Develop repair procedures for routine or repeat issues

Required Skills:
Active DoD Secret security clearance
DoDD 8570.01m IAT level 2 certification
At least 5 years of networking experience
At least 3 years of experience in AV/VTC systems and operations
Experience using Microsoft Office tool (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)
Experience with Extron, AMX, and Crestron
Ability to work and accomplish tasks with minimal or general guidance
Familiarity with Army and DoD networks
Preferred Skills:
B.S. Information Systems, or Information Technology, and/or combination of education and work experience equivalent
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
ITILv3 Foundations or higher
Certified Avixa CTS-D or CTS-I
Extron, AMX, or Crestron training
