AV/VTC Programmer Hawaii


Responsibilities


The primary responsibility of the AV/VTC Programmer is to establish and maintain a standardized baseline control code in support of the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) and its Major Subordinate Commands and Theater Enabling Commands in Hawaii, South Korea, Japan, and Alaska. The applicant will support the AV/VTC modernizations to ensure that all USARPAC Command Centers, Distributed Command Posts (DCPs), and mission-essential systems are upgraded, and configurations are compatible with other Army installations with the latest technology available. The applicant will provide programming support for designing, planning for, and installing video walls, conference rooms, digital displays, and video teleconferencing. Applicant will provide installation support as needed.

Responsibilities of this position include:
  • Create and standardize baseline control code using the Extron Global Configurator Pro
  • Create and standardize baseline Digital Signal Processor (DSP) configurations
  • Part of an implementation team responsible for the install of AV/VTC systems
  • Install and modify control system code and DSP configuration
  • Coordinate with Government POCs and technical personnel for any baseline configuration and control code modifications or changes
  • Ensure that all systems control code and DSPs are configured in accordance with DISA STIGs and Army regulations, and are compliant throughout its lifecycle, requiring touch maintenance to ensure a good security posture
  • Conduct AV/VTC systems training
  • Utilize the ESIM Program Dashboard (EPD) to upload and manage all documentation and deliverables, control syste code, and system configuration
  • Must be able to provide 4 hour phone support, and if required, site visit within 12 hours

  • Required Skills:

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • DoDD 8570.01m IAT level 2 certification
  • At least 3 years of experience in AV/VTC control system programming
  • Extron Global Configurator Professional certification and proficiency
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tool (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)
  • Experience with Extron, AMX, and Crestron control system code and software
  • Ability to work and accomplish tasks with minimal or general guidance

  • Preferred Skills:

  • B.S. Information Systems, or Information Technology, and/or combination of education and work experience equivalent
  • Certified Avixa CTS-D or CTS-I
  • ITILv3 Foundations or higher
  • Extron, AMX, or Crestron training
